Welcome to the NEW Varsity Cheerleading team for the 2010-2011 School year! I am looking forward to the next season and what it has in store for us, I know it will be fabulous!
Welcome to the EHS Varsity cheer blog! Other than e-mail, we use this site for most of our communication. Parents and athletes should check it at least twice daily for any new information. The Varsity calendar will be posted and updated on the blog as well. Please make sure you check the calendar daily too for any schedule changes. Participation in practice is essential! Please review your cheerleading calendar prior to scheduling appointments (hair, orthodontist, dental, doctor, work, and any other outside activities). You are allotted 3 absences for the fall season, please take time to review the absence policy. We discussed these rules and philosophies of the EHS cheerleading program with the athletes today. We will also reviewed these rules and philosophies with the parents at the mandatory parent meeting.
Team gym will begin Wednesday April 14th. The girls need to be at RME by 4:30 on the 14th. RME is located at 7101 S. Fulton St. Englewood, CO 80112. Please go to their website and register prior to the first class (http://www.rmecheer.com/) You will need to bring your monthly tuition and the one time registration fee ($50) to the first class. If you don't pay you will not be able to participate. Please plan ahead and do not forget that team gym is mandatory.
Your first Cheer payment will be due May 1st: $330 Camp Fee
FUNDRAISING! Our first fundraiser will start on April 12th. Our fundraiser is through s'cool services and we will be selling Cookie dough butterbraids etc. If you push yourself you can get your camp fees paid for with this fundraiser! More information will be given out at the athlete and parent meeting!
All athletes will need to have a mouth guard and case at practice by April 15th. We will keep the mouth guards at school and will use them at all practices. Mouth guards are used to protect the athletes teeth and are helpful in preventing concussions.
