Please take some time to review the calendar and update your schedules.
Here are a few things regarding the Calendar:
- Your break will start on Dec 18th with the exception of gymnastics. You are paying for the month of December and the gym will be open with the exception of Christmas Eve and Day and New Years Eve and Day. I STRONGLY encourage you to attend gymnastics while we are on break to maintain your skills and possibly gain new ones. I will not be in attendance because of the contact rule but, attendance will be taken so I will know if you were there or not.
- Your Nationals Balance is due on Jan 4th. Please make sure that you have that money turned into me by this date. I will be handing out updated balance sheets on Monday.
- Finals are Jan 13th -15th. We will still be practicing on these days at the regular time. PLAN AHEAD in regards to studying. You are out of school by 12:00 on these days. This will give you plenty of study time after school (before practice) to study and then you will have study time after practice. It is SO important that you are at practice these days.
- We will be practicing over Martin Luther King weekend and Holiday. You need to be in town for practice during this time. Again...it is so Important that we practice during this time because we have to perform our routine for the Winter Pep Assembly that Friday for the entire student body. We need to be prepared!
- The nationals and Feb 6th competition meeting is on Jan 11th. Everyone needs to be in attendance this evening. We will go over all information regarding nationals at this time.
- We will be doing the casino bus fundraiser on Jan 7th. Tickets go on sale on Monday. Each girl will need to sell 2 tickets and all money will be profit.
Last but not least.....
We had a FANTASTIC week of practice! We added in lots of difficulty that I feel will really boost our points for nationals. But we have to do what we do best and that is be clean and consistent. It is going to take lots of practice ( it's important that you are there) for us to get there and you are going to have to KEEP THE FIRE AND DESIRE!!! Top Girls you are going to have to stretch EVERYDAY over break to keep your flexibility and gain more. All of you need to run and keep up your endurance!
I would like all of you to go on Varsity.com and watch the top 10 teams in large varsity from nationals last year. Come with observations.
Liz and I will make final changes on Monday and Tuesday and we will run the routine with everything Wednesday-Friday. I am excited for the new week and I hope you all enjoy a relaxing weekend!
